Paparazzi is a term used for someone who comes at you when you do not expect it which pretty much explains 10 yr DJ veteran Cesar Rios AKA Paparazzi. Constantly surprising everyone with his involvement in the industry and his music, Paparazzi is a well-known name on the dance floors. Paparazzi’s biggest contribution to this scene is not just his music, it’s the events he throws in LA that have kids dancing till the sun comes up! DANCE is a weekly all ages club Paparazzi throws every Tuesday night at the arena in Hollywood where about 2,000 of the hippest kids come out with their insane energy and dance the night away until the last beat. However, DANCE is not where it all started. Paparazzi actually started one of the first weekly forward thinking electro clubs in Southern California back in 2003 called 1107. Not only did Paparazzi start one of the first electro clubs in Southern California he’s also the only DJ in LA to have thrown weekly events with both Franki Chan and Steve Aoki. Being so involved in the industry has really helped his DJ career considering the fact he’s been a resident at almost every successful club in Los Angeles including Le Disko, Moscow, Check Yo Ponytail, Cinespace, The Heist, Avenue, Bang and more! You may also have seen him perform at high profile events such as Detour Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, NYE Giant Maximus, HARD and much more! However, Paparazzi’s ambitions have stretched far beyond his hometown of Los Angeles. He has performed in many cities in the U.S. and Mexico, helping to spur the indie/electro movement across culture barriers. Along the way he’s performed with electro superstars including Justice, MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, Switch, Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Moby, and Adam Freeland. As a promoter he’s helped numerous artists find their place in the industry booking talents and help guide them to get the recognition they deserve, such artist like Le Castle Vania and LA Riots to name a few. Always trying to stay ahead of the industry, Paparazzi has begun to add visual aspects to live shows setting himself apart from the average DJ and promoter. Paparazzi has extended his club shelf life by taking time to produce in the studio with well-established artists and up- and-coming musicians. Recently Paparazzi has helped start an events company called 1107 which has been nothing but a success! At only 24 years old Paparazzi is definitely making a huge impression on the scene and with his new company up and running you better expect nothing but the best parties LA has ever seen!
